The Krewe of Omega was formed in 1986 by a fraternity at Southeastern Louisiana University. The Krewe represents Tangipahoa Parish and has members from the Northshore and beyond.
The Krewe of Omega parade has been an annual event for the city of Hammond, Louisiana, for the past twenty-five years. Each year the Krewe enjoys the splendor of a royal King and Queen who represent our Krewe and its members.
Professional floats and costumes are designed in New Orleans and brought to Hammond for our parade. During the annual parade, more than 50,000 cups and more than half a million strand of beads, as well as toys and other items, are thrown by Krewe members to revelers who travel from near and far for our parade.
Now in its twenty-fifth year, the Krewe of Omega is strong and growing. If you are over eighteen and interested in joining our wonderful group, please contact us at captain@kreweofomega.org.
